Course Description
This course is the main introduction to the world of sculpture and three-dimensional shapes.
Participants will learn about the foundations of sculpture; clay, gypsum and the method for working by hand; and the relationship between mass and vacuum.
Participants will move from two-dimensional sculptural works such as medals to three-dimensional works such as human skulls or heads. They will also learn how to cast single and multi-piece gypsum moulds and how to withdraw gypsum pieces from the moulds. They will be introduced to the basic principles of technical anatomy
