Workshop Description
In the third part of this introductory course on the theatrical arts, participants will focus on theatrical make-up, lighting and set design.
Session 1: Theatrical Make-up
Participants will learn the importance of theatrical make-up and how to apply it appropriately according to the personality and behaviour of the characters in the texts. In addition, they will learn some secret tricks to bring characters to life fully formed as they were envisioned by the playwright.
Session 2: Basics of Lighting and Set Design
Participants will learn the basics of set design and how to coordinate different types and colours. They will also become familiar with the basics of theatrical lighting, procedures for installing lights and methods of facilitating the director’s interpretation of the text and characters in a play.
