Workshop Description
In this workshop, participants will take a look at traditional lifestyles, in the Gulf region generally and the United Arab Emirates specifically. They will learn about the traditions of the Gulf people for storing food and then the method for making maleh [traditional salted and spiced fish] and other types of dried fish for the purposes of preserving the food and modifying its flavour. Finally, participants will be introduced to the dishes in which maleh could be used.
