Talk Description
In this conversation, SB15 artist Bouchra Khalili examines modes of countering the invisibility and erasure of migrant subjectivities and other undocumented communities. With a focus on her SB15 prize-winning work The Circle (2023) as well as her film The Tempest Society (2017), which premiered at documenta 14, Khalili discusses her process of tracing fragmented and lost migrant histories along with her long-term research on Al Assifa theatre group, formed in the 1970s by members of the MTA (Mouvements de Travailleurs Arabes) in France.
