In this interactive session, investigate how the traditional techniques of Japanese woodblock printing can be incorporated into design practices today. Examine connections between people, space and individual mark-making, and gain an understanding of both hand-drawn and photo-mechanical processes. By the end of the workshop, you should have mastered basic woodblock printing techniques and be able to demonstrate sensitivity to materials and engage in critical analysis through pin-ups and print critiques.
