Conceptual Art
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to conceptual art and how the idea behind an artwork can be more important than the means or materials used to express it. Participants will be provided with the kinds of materials used in Hassan Sharif’s artworks (e.g. ropes, rocks or paper) to create an artwork of their own. Participants will have to pick a concept of their own to represent. This activity will encourage them to express their feelings through art regardless of their artistic abilities.
