Workshop Description
Participants in this workshop will learn to recognise the extendable letters in Naskh calligraphy, the correct spacing of words, and the letters that can be extended horizontally (i.e. ‘bā’, ‘sīn’, ‘shīn,’ ‘sād’, ‘dād’, ‘qāf’, ‘nūn’, ‘yā’ and ‘kāf’). They will know how to extend these letters so that the word becomes more beautiful without disturbing the meaning, confusing the reader or affecting the aesthetics of the written sentence.
