Workshop Description
Anwar Jalal Shemza reinvents Islamic art using modern motifs and Western aesthetics. In this workshop, participants will first visit Shemza’s Islamic art exhibition for inspiration. Then they will be equipped with several mediums and tools so they can recreate their own rendition of the artist’s works using circle and square motifs as well as a Spirograph to create geometrical shapes prevalent in Islamic art.
