Overview
Sharjah Art Foundation President Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi and Sharjah Biennial 11 Curator Yuko Hasegawa will discuss the history of the Sharjah Biennial, established in 1993 and now one of the key cultural events in the Middle East. In this talk Hasegawa will offer an insight into her curatorial vision and her proposal of a new orientation for cultural relationships between the Far East, the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America. Joining the conversation will be Brazilian Artists who have been invited to create new work in Sharjah.
The talk will be followed by a cocktail reception.
