The Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy was established in 2005, while its Arts and Culture Programme was initiated in 2007. The programme provides technical advice and financial support to Emirati artists and NGOs through a number of awards, grants, residencies, courses, internships and workshops.
Presentation Proposal
The Arts and Cultural Programme at the Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy seeks to enhance the status, quality and practice of Emirati visual, performance and literary arts through education, production and dissemination. In fulfilling its mission, the Arts and Cultural team, in collaboration with the John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA, offered its Museum Studies Foundation course for the second time in December 2010. The course introduces participants to current museum theories as well as to the range of careers possible in museums. The course also guides those wishing to pursue museum studies at a graduate level.”
