How can we work within and with the institutions today, at a time of heightened surveillance, abuse of resources and commons, and profound ecological crisis? In different geographies, but intertwined geopolitical realities, we are invited to imagine new ecologies of care as a way of naming a continuous practice of support, listening, attention and emotional states, that arise from encounters with objects and subjects. To open up an institution and show how it works, to render it palpable, audible, sentient, soft, porous, anti-patriarchal, what other strategies could we develop? We will talk about resilient small-size institutions, ones that propose a transparency when dealing with commons, slow institutions and networks of solidarity and mutual affinity that we have to build today in order modify the present moment we inhabit.
