Overview

Designed for participants aged 6 to 18, the Schools Programme offers a variety of workshops and tours for schools and community centres. The workshops, led by professional artists, aim to discover participants' talents, enhance their technical skills and knowledge, and build self-confidence. The tours, usually to ongoing Sharjah Art Foundation exhibitions and permanent installations such as Rain Room, function as stand-alone activities or provide important context for the activities in the workshops.

Interested schools and community centres can select the workshops and/or tours as well as dates and times that are most appropriate for them. Workshops, with or without a tour, usually take two hours. Tours alone are generally 30 minutes. Sessions are conducted in Arabic and/or English, depending on the needs of the participants.

All Schools Programme workshops and tours, except for visits to Rain Room (where the admission charge is discounted for students), are free and open to all. Materials are provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.
