Overview
Sharjah Art Foundation community members are invited to join this beachside picnic in Al Hamriyah, where they will learn how to prepare the favourite Emirati picnic dish machboos. Flavoured with loomi [dried limes] and an abundant selection of aromatic spices, machboos is made with rice and meat, chicken or fish, all cooked in a rich tomato sauce. It is easy to understand what makes this dish both a mouth-watering comfort food and a culinary staple on the Emirati lunch table. In this workshop, participants will learn the process for cooking machboos and sample the delicious outcome in the traditional way.

Workshop location: Al Hamriyah Beach
Transportation from Al Mureijah Square to Al Hamriyah Beach and back will be provided.
