Inspired by the exhibition Sharjapan: The Poetics of Space, participants will combine typography with design techniques. Participants will each work on a shape, letter or number of their choice and add different design objects to it. The final result will be the transformation of a simple form into something with more dimensions and colour.

Ages:6-10

Mixed Media on Canvas

Inspired by the artist Frank Bowling and his map drawings on huge canvases, participants will work together on one canvas to create a map of Sharjah. They will use Bowling’s mixed media technique, employing a range of colours and materials. Before starting work, participants will tour the Bowling exhibition to observe the artist’s work.
