In this workshop, participants will first learn about some artworks by Hassan Sharif that involve connecting materials and objects. Then, using techniques employed in the artworks they have seen, they will experiment with making their own artworks with objects. This workshop will introduce participants to ways of transforming everyday objects into unfamiliar forms
In a workshop inspired by the exhibition chapter ‘…so I created a semi-system’ in the ongoing Hassan Sharif retrospective, participants will learn about systematic art and create their own coded patterns with colours, shapes and numbers. This workshop will broaden participants’ thinking and help them realise the range of outcomes they are able to devise.
