Course Description
This three day course will focus on the main topics of Curating Contemporary Art, we will look back at the history of biennials and how they have changed their roles and focus throughout history. How artists and art institutions have been working with communities to have dialogue, create change and develop projects which would be of benefit to society. The final day of the course will focus on key exhibitions which played a major role in the history of Contemporary Art. As an assignment, Students are invited to research SAF’s collection and come up with an exhibition, this will include exhibition layout, title, curatorial text and exhibition branding.
