Synopsis
One early summer night at Amity Island, a resort on the Atlantic Ocean, Chrissie decides to take a moonlight skinny-dip while her friends party on the beach. She is suddenly yanked below the surface of the water, never to return. When it is discovered that a savage gigantic shark menaces the island community, a police chief, marine scientists and fishermen set out during the Independence Day holiday to stop the shark attacks. They face immense challenges and numerous setbacks as they try out various methods to end the terror on Amity Island.
