Open Call: Vantage Point Sharjah 10

Overview

Sharjah Art Foundation welcomes submissions for Vantage Point Sharjah 10 (VPS10), an annual photography exhibition that supports up-and-coming photographers from the region and around the world.

For its 10th edition, VPS invites works that celebrate photography's ability to perceive social realities and the diversity of contemporary lives, through different perspectives and forms of visual storytelling.

Photographers can submit up to six original photographs. The selected works will be presented at the exhibition taking place in Al Hamriyah Studios from 16 September to 11 December 2022. Additionally, an international jury will select a winner and four runners up for the Vantage Point Photography Award.

Introduced in 2013 to encourage public engagement with photography as an artistic medium, VPS has evolved into a dynamic platform that showcases multiple approaches to photography, from photojournalism and photo essays to analogue and experimental forms. VPS is a core Sharjah Art Foundation initiative committed to discovering, sustaining and furthering photographic practice.
