Workshop Description
Exploring Sharjah’s busy waterfront and Port Khalid, participants will understand the journey fishermen take to catch fish and sell them at Souq Al Jubail fish auctions. Participants will learn different forms of expressive mark making with pen and ink. They will collect found objects and interview fishermen and shopkeepers to discover their narratives and slang terms. After witnessing an energetic fish auction at Souq Al Jubail, participants will take a boat ride around the port and end their waterfront adventure with a food tasting of the catch of the day.
