Hand-building pottery
Workshop for Children and Families

Ages: 11–15

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to pottery, they will learn the basic methods for hand-building with clay strips, pressure and clay sculpting. Participants will then create their own pottery using the hand-building techniques.
Casting
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Tuesday, 26 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm

In this workshop, participants will learn how to cast a mold with liquid clay and create ceramic shapes and sculptures using the ‘poured block mold’ method.
Construction
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Thursday, 28 July 2022
Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Gallery 4, Al Mureijah Art Spaces
Ages: 11–15
Languages: English and Arabic
Participants will be using a creative process in this workshop, where they will assemble a sculpture by combining various materials and using glue and wire to keep the elements together.
