Pressed dried flowers in glass
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Sunday, 21 August 2022

Taking inspiration from nature, participants will press dried flowers between two panes of glass to create a unique wall hanging that gives the impression of floating flowers. This workshop is an opportunity for participants to develop design skills and create an artwork that can be used to decorate the home.
Split objects
Workshop for Children and Families
Date: Tuesday, 23 August 2022

At the beginning of this workshop, participants will take photographs of an object of their choice and print it. Participants will then re-create half of the object using mixed media, such as coloured paper, found objects or a simple 2D coloured drawing.
Frame-making
Workshop for Children and Families

Timings: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: Collections Building, Arts Square
Ages: 6–10
Languages: English and Arabic
In this workshop, participants will be making frames to highlight photos in their homes. Everyday materials, such as cardboard, clips and yarn, will be used to customise and decorate the frames.
Colouring molds
Collaboration with Al Hisn Museum
Date: Saturday, 27 August 2022

Ages: 6–10

After the tour in al hosn museum, participants will colour ceramic sculptures of traditional objects and architectural shapes. Participants will learn about the history of traditional crafts and information about each object.
