Write and Shoot a Documentary Movie
Family Workshop

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, 18–19 March 2023
Timings: 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Location: Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, Arts Square, Sharjah
Languages: English and Arabic



Create a documentary film exploring your family’s role in a particular profession or artistic pursuit. You will first brainstorm ideas and write a script. Next, you will plan for the required sets and props and cast the actors. Finally, you will learn some important techniques for filming, editing and adding sound to your documentary and then apply your new skills to your project.
