Art21 online resources and videos

Art21 produces features focusing exclusively on contemporary visual art and artists throughout the world, including the Peabody Award-winning biennial series Art in the Twenty-First Century. Intimate footage allows the viewer to observe the artists at work and watch their process as they transform inspiration into art.

Art Jameel learning resources

Learning is at the heart of Art Jameel’s initiatives and central to the organisation’s thinking and collaborations. A diverse spectrum of engaging opportunities is dedicated and adapted for children, students, educators and professionals, including creative workshops, talks, pilot projects and tailor-made resources. Jameel Arts Centre aims to provide an inclusive and engaging environment for learning, and to contribute to the wider Art Jameel mandate–to nurture open and connected communities.

Arts ED NJ virtual learning resources

Arts Ed NJ is the unifying organisation and central resource for arts education information, policy and advocacy in New Jersey. Arts Ed NJ is designed as a statewide arts education advocacy model for the 21st century bringing together stakeholders and applying new technologies and communication strategies with ‘best practices’ to create a vibrant and valued organisation to advance arts education in New Jersey.

Artsy for Education online resources

Artsy features the world’s leading galleries, museum collections, foundations, artist estates, art fairs and benefit auctions, all in one place. With a growing database of 1,000,000 works of art, architecture and design by 100,000 artists spanning historical, modern and contemporary works, Artsy includes the largest online database of contemporary art. Artsy is used by art lovers, museum-goers, patrons, collectors, students and educators to discover, learn about, and collect art.

ArtBabble

ArtBabble is a website that showcases high quality art-related video content from more than 50 cultural institutions from around the world. Created in 2009, the website was conceived, designed, programmed, and launched by a cross-departmental collection of individuals at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Bombay Institute for Critical Analysis and Research online courses

A non-profit pedagogical institute for rigorous research, debate and dialogue, committed to the relationships between intellectual inquiry, social reality and concrete change, the Bombay Institute for Critical Analysis and Research provides online courses in research, writing and critical analysis throughout the year.

Gallery Girl Podcast

Gallery Girl is a London-based curatorial platform and website dedicated to modern and contemporary art from across the globe. The Gallery Girl website and blog is devoted to covering only the most innovative exhibitions, curators and artists through interviews, reviews and think pieces, and provides a platform for emerging female artists from across the Middle East, the Caucasus, and the respective diasporas. The Gallery Girl Podcast is dedicated to highlighting female artists, curators, practitioners and collectives who champion art with roots in West Asia and North Africa.

Magnum Foundation’s Quarantine Conversations

The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has resulted in most Magnum photographers being restricted in their movements. As part of a broader photographer-led response, a new series, Quarantine Conversations, will see Magnum photographers in frank and unedited dialogues about work, current affairs and everything in-between. This video series from Magnum Foundation forms part of a broader, photographer-led initiative to document the current crisis.

National Gallery online courses

Join the National Gallery’s online courses, suitable for children and families. Several sessions will feature in‐depth contributions from experts in framing and conservation, allowing for a greater understanding of the work the National Gallery does to care for, present and interpret the collection.

Radio Alhara talks and conversations with artists

Radio Alhara emerges in a time of isolation and boredom, a time where the future of the world as we know it remains unknown. A communal radio station, programme and project, it begins in Bethlehem and Ramallah, and aims to extend to other places in Palestine and throughout the world, an open platform for listening, adding, discussing and chatting so that we can all go through this time of solitude while communicating and reminding each other of each other. The project is inspired by Radio il Hai Beirut and Radio Alhuma Tunis, which were in turn inspired by Radio Quartiere Milano.

The Alternative Arts School online courses

The curriculum at The Alternative Arts School is interdisciplinary with an emphasis on the complexities of everyday life. We want this knowledge to be disseminated across a world desperate for alternatives. We want students who want to use the tools of art to change the world around them. The curriculum offers programmes in drawing, painting, sculpture, video, performance, curating and more, all with an emphasis on getting art out of the gallery and into the world.

The Creative Independent

The Creative Independent (TCI) is a growing resource of emotional and practical guidance for creative people, published ad-free by Kickstarter, a public-benefit corporation. TCI produces interviews, wisdom, and guides that illuminate the trials and tribulations of living a creative life, as told by working artists—including writers, musicians, designers, visual artists and others. Their goal is to feed and grow the community of people who create.

The Friendly Unknown podcast series

Demystifying the creative journey through conversations with creative professionals about their paths to becoming who they are today. This podcast aims to leave you feeling connected, inspired and more equipped for your own adventure ahead.

The Lonely Palette podcast series

For every episode of The Lonely Palette, creator and host Tamar Avishai picks an object du jour, interviews unsuspecting passers-by in front of it, and then dives deeply into the movement, the social context, the anecdotes, and anything and everything else that will make it as exciting to you as it is to her.

Work Show Grow online school

Work Show Grow is an educational online community for creatives from all levels, stages and entry points, who support your growth through school membership, mentorship, workshops and events. Work Show Grow was founded in 2018 by Natasha Caruana, an award-winning and internationally recognised artist and educator. When you join the Work Show Grow school you will be supported by expert tutors and a group of peers who have stood where you are and know the struggles experienced, but also the successes that you seek. You will create valuable connections and collaborations that generate new ideas and foster both artistic and commercial successes.
