SB13: Tamawuj Education and Public Programme starts this Saturday

Overview

Make the most of your visit to SB13: Tamawuj, which opened last week, by pairing it with one of our workshops, excursions, guided tours or film screenings taking place this Saturday, 18 March 2017.

Children can enjoy the Sea Trip, which departs at 10:00 am from Al Hamriyah Art Centre. The journey on the water can be linked with a visit to the SB13 works on view in the newly opened Al Hamriyah Studios. From 10:00 am, young visitors can also enjoy our Children’s Open Day 2, which offers workshops in the Collections Building at Arts Square focusing on the production of site-specific art in public spaces such as beaches and parks.

For those who would like to improve their screenwriting skills, we are also offering a workshop in Intermediate Screenwriting from 10:00 am.

Later in the afternoon, adults can enjoy an excursion to the Iranian spice souq in #SAFneighbourhood and participate in a workshop called Emirati Herbal Home Brews, which will also include a focused tour of SB13, all starting at 2:00 pm.

We recommend you end the day with the screening of In the Last Days of the City at the open air Mirage City Cinema.

SB13 spaces are staffed with knowledgeable guides who would be happy to take you on tours of the Biennial, and should you wish to purchase any refreshments, you will find food trucks, two Fen Cafes and a Fen Restaurant located across the various SAF spaces.
