Biography
Bhoomika Ghaghada (b. 1991, Dubai) is a writer and facilitator currently living and working in the UAE. Her work explores how gender, urban spaces and media operate in the Gulf, and has appeared in Jadaliyya, Unootha Mag and Postscript Magazine. Her short story Too Much Freedom won Barjeel Art Foundation and Rusted Radishes’ inaugural Mudun Short Story Prize (2022). The co-founder of Gulf Creative Collective, she was awarded the Warehouse421 Homebound Residency, through which she facilitated workshops. Ghaghada also hosts writing workshops with Sharjah Art, Bayt AlMamzar, and Art Jameel. She holds an MA in Media Studies from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn.
