Biography
Olafur Eliasson explores and challenges patterns of perception, finding nature a constant source of fascination. Solo exhibitions of Eliasson’s work have recently been presented at Tate Modern, London, UK (2012); PinchukArtCentre, Kiev, Ukraine (2011); Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China (2010, with Ma Yansong); Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin (2010) and Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2010).
In 2003, he represented Denmark at the Venice Biennale, Italy. His projects in public space include The New York City Waterfalls, 2008, New York, USA, and the 2007 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, London, with Kjetil Thorsen.
