Biography
His work has been exhibited at the Sonoma County Museum, Santa Rosa, California (2014); the Nam June Paik Art Center, Yongin, Korea (2011); Made in Korea, Hannover, Germany (2009); the ARoS Aarhus Museum, Denmark (2004); the Busan Biennale, Korea (2004); the Netherlands Media Art Institute, Amsterdam (2003) and the Gwangju Biennale, Korea (2002, 2004, 2010).
His recent experimental feature documentaries Factory Complex (2014) and Jeju Prayer (2012) explore issues of community, individuals, women and labor. Im Heung-soon is currently developing his third feature project Reincarnation, 1969 (Preliminary Title), a film on Asia, war and women.
