Biography
Jimena Galán Dary (b. 1997, Guatemala City) is a researcher, communicator and curator who draws inspiration from historiographic and curatorial feminism. Her work addresses contemporary processes, questions and collective needs related to historical memory, political impact and gender gap resolution. As a co-founder of the La Revuelta collective, Dary has co-curated notable exhibitions, including El reino de lo cotidiano (2023), Rompámoslo todo para volver a aprender (2022) and Rewriting Us (2022). She has also served as a curatorial assistant for various exhibitions, including Yo soy, nosotras somos (2023) and Grito (2022). She was part of the production team for the XII Bienal de Arte Paiz (2021) and Bienal en Resistencia (2023). She has contributed columns and interviews to media outlets such as La Cuerda and Terremoto; her role in editing Miguel Alvarez's book Activar los sentidos and conducting hemerographic research for Jimena Pons' book Jaguar del cielo.
