Biography
For the Sharjah Biennial 9 Araujo presented a series of oil painting appropriations of reproductions and photographs taken from architectural books which offered images of prominent buildings he had visited over the years. In his work, Araujo pays tribute to the history of art while also considering what remains of the essence, texture, medium and argument of a work once it has been reproduced.
