Biography
Over the past thirty years, Anish Kapoor has exhibited extensively, with solo shows at venues including, Tate and Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre, London, UK, Haus der Kunst, Munich, Germany, Museum for Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria, Deutsche Guggenheim Museum, Berlin, Germany, PinchukArtCentre, Kiev, Ukraine, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney, Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea, and Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin, Germany.
In 1990, Kapoor represented Great Britain at the Venice Biennale, where he was awarded the Premio Duemila. He won the Turner Prize in 1991 and was commissioned for the prestigious Unilever Series at Tate Modern in 2002, where he installed the work Marsyas.
