Biography
Lara Khaldi (b. 1982, Jerusalem) is a curator, critic and artist living between Jerusalem and Amsterdam. She was a member of the documenta fifteen curatorial team (2022). Previously, she was the head of the Media Studies Programme at Alquds Bard College, Jerusalem and a core tutor in the Disarming Design MA programme at Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam (2020–2022). Khaldi is a co-founding member of the independent educational platform School of Intrusions and the collective The Question of Funding. In January 2023, Khaldi joined de Appel in Amsterdam as artistic director. She has curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions and events, including School of Intrusions (educational platform with Noor Abed), Ramallah (2020); Overtone: On the Politics of Listening (exhibition and symposium), Goethe-Institut, Ramallah (2019); and; Shifting Ground, Act II, Sharjah Biennial 13, Ramallah (2017).
