Biography
Her research and artistic interests are founded upon the history of ideas in art, science and politics. Mariah Lookman makes works across a range of media and is currently working on a film, exploring the relationship of aesthetics and violence. Recent projects include leading a team to develop and write the charter document for the proposed School of Art, University of Culture and Art in Lahore (2015) and the forthcoming publication Looking to Draw in Torrent, no. 3 (summer 2015). Lookman holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art and a BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
