Biography
Mathilde Henrot is the co-founder (with Alessandro Raja) of Festival Scope Pro, an online service that allows film professionals to watch on demand films from international film festivals (2010).
She worked for eight years for MK2 as director of sales, also handling acquisitions. Together with ARTE, she created ArteKino, a platform which presents to European audiences emerging and confirmed European talents online and in cinemas (2016). She also established Maharaja Films, a production company whose lineup includes The Strife of Love in a Dream and Saturday by Camille Henrot; Smugglers' Songs by Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche; and Alps directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
Since 2012, she has curated the Kinoscope programme of the Sarajevo Film Festival. She is a member of the Selection Committee of the Locarno Film Festival (2019–present).
Henrot holds a BA in Chinese from INALCO, Paris (1999), a diploma from HEC Business School (2001), an LLM in Literary and Artistic Copyright Law from Sorbonne (2005).
Born in 1975 in Paris, Henrot currently lives and works between Paris and Rome.
