Biography
Hana Miletić has a multiform practice that includes performances, installations, workshops and printed matter. She explores the residues and upheavals of political change, focusing on the formation of subjectivity on the level of both the individual and the community. She describes her artistic practice as street photography, through which she documents objects and stories in a continuous investigation into DIY cultures. Photography serves as a means of orientation in her ongoing exploration of social realities.
Exhibitions and performances of her work have been presented at Sharjah Biennial 13 (2017); Galerie van Gelder, Amsterdam (2017); Beursschouwburg, Brussels (2016); Annie Gentils Gallery, Antwerp (2016); P/////AKT, Amsterdam (2016); Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland (2016); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2016); Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, Milan (2015); WIELS, Brussels (2015); RIOT, Ghent (2015) and Van Eych, Maastricht (2014, 2015, 2016).
Miletić is currently a researcher and lecturer in photography at LUCA School of Arts, Brussels. She participated in Residency Chantier, La Bellone, Brussels (2016) and the residency programme at Van Eyck, Maastricht. She won the Young Belgian Art Prize, BOZAR (2015). She studied photography, art history and gender studies.
