Mirai Moriyama

Biography

Mirai Moriyama is an actor and dancer who has worked in various fields of performing arts and film.
Moriyama made his stage debut in 1999 after training in a number of dance disciplines, including jazz, tap, classical ballet and hip hop. Since that time, he has appeared in a long list of stage productions, movies and TV dramas and participated in dance productions with performers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Inbal Pinto & Avshalom Pollak, and Damien Jalet. He has also produced his own performing arts projects, including Kyukaku-Ushio (2019) with Tomohiko Tsujimoto, SONAR (2018) with Jon Filip Fahlstrøm and Junya Oikawa, Is it worth to save us? (2017) with Kaori Ito, and Judas, Christ with Soy (2017) with Ella Rothschild.

Moriyama has received many awards for his work in Japan. In 2013, he was nominated for a one-year appointment as Cultural Ambassador by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in Japan, and he spent time in Israel, Belgium and a number of other European countries working with diverse performing arts groups.

Born in 1984 in Hyogo, Japan, he currently lives and works in Tokyo.
