Biography
He is the Director of Art and Cultural Programmes at Instituto Inhotim in Brasil, where he has worked as a curator since 2004. At Instituto Inhotim, he has been responsible for acquiring and commissioning works from artists including Ernesto Neto, Jorge Macchi, Rivane Neuenschwander and Claudia Andujar. He has written for Brasilian newspapers and the international art media and has been a contributor to ART NOW V. 3 (Cologne). He was one of five curators of the 43rd Salón (inter) Nacional de Artistas in Medellín, Colombia. As an independent curator, he has organised many exhibitions, including Planos de Fuga [Plans for an Escape] with Jochen Volz, CCBB-São Paulo (2012), Des(enho), Casas Riegner, Bogotá (2011), Primera y ultima: Notas sobre el monumento [First and Last: Notes on the Monument], Galería Luisa Strina, São Paulo (2010), Mauro Restiffe: Mirante, Casa de América, Madrid, in PhotoEspaña (2009) and Close to Me, Studio Guenzani, Milan (2007).
