Biography
Nadine Khalil has held leading editorial positions for the past decade at magazines in Beirut (Bespoke, Executive | Life, A Mag) and Dubai (Canvas), covering arts and culture. She has authored a series of artist monographs, including works on Lebanese artists Samir Sayegh and Hanibal Srouji and the late filmmaker Jocelyne Saab. Her writing can also be found in Art Monthly, Ocula, Financial Times, Goethe’s Art, Thought, Women's Review of Books, Selections and Harper’s Bazaar Art. Before she began writing for publications, Khalil worked as an independent curator with the non-profit art organisations Ashkal Alwan and the Arab Image Foundation and with video art festivals in Europe such as MidEast Cut and the Arab Independent Film Festival. She has an academic background in anthropology.
