Overview
HE Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh is an advisor at the Presidential Court and interpreter for the President of the United Arab Emirates. He graduated from Cambridge University (UK) and began his career in Abu Dhabi as a journalist in 1967. He became Director of Information in 1969 in Abu Dhabi and then the UAE Ministry of Information. He also worked as a broadcaster and programme producer and helped in developing Abu Dhabi’s broadcasting and media services before moving to the Presidential court in 1975. Nusseibeh is currently board member of Abu Dhabi’s newly established Authority for Tourism and Culture, having served as Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Culture and Heritage Authority before that. He is a Director on a number of boards, including: the UAE Center for Documentation and Research, the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Book Award and the International Prize for Arab Fiction Booker. He is on the Advisory Boards of the LSE and SOAS Middle East centres.
