Biography
Gabriel Orozco examines the relationship between nature and culture in his work. He only uses what his surroundings provide, joining these fragments in a manner that speaks of both location and society.
Solo exhibitions of Orozco’s work were recently presented at the Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin(2012); Tate Modern, London(2011); Museum of Modern Art, New York (2010); Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland (2010); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2010); Venice Biennale (1993, 2003, 2005); Whitney Biennial, New York (1995, 1997) and dOCUMENTA, Kassel, Germany (1997, 2002).
