Biography
Prateek Raja and his wife and partner Priyanka Raja are co-founders of Experimenter and the annual Curators’ Hub first initiated in 2011. Each year the Curators Hub invites 10 regional and international curators to this gathering in an exploration of critical curatorial practice. The project has become an important Indian platform for developing and sustaining discourse on curatorial practice and exhibition making. Experimenter is a gallery established in Kolkata in 2009 that focuses on an experimental international programme of alternative artists. With an ambitious multidisciplinary approach, Experimenter is an incubator for contemporary artists and mounts interactive installations, multiple channel work, live projects and political interventions that question the fraught and kinetic era we live in. Prateek lives with his wife Priyanka and two children in Kolkata, India.
