Biography
Stéphanie Saadé’s sculptures and installations, produced from materials such as plants, fabric, wood, brass and gold, explore past moments, memories and estrangement through the use of pre-existing shapes. In her transformation of these shapes, she introduces subtle shifts in perspective that reorient approaches to familiar places, processes and scenarios.
Her work has been exhibited at Sharjah Biennial 13 (2017); Home Works 7, Beirut (2016); Museum Schloss Moyland, Bedburg-Hau, Germany (2016); Cité de la Céramique, Sèvres, France (2016); Counterspace, Zurich (2016); Parc Saint Léger, Nevers, France (2016); La Traverse, Alfortville, France (2016); Marres, Centre for Contemporary Culture, Maastricht, the Netherlands (2015); Museum of Contemporary Art (M HKA), Antwerp (2014); La Conservera, Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, Murcia, Spain (2014); Le 59e Salon de Montrouge, France (2014); Beirut Exhibition Centre (2013); A.
