Overview
Ramin Salsali is a collector, art patron and founder of the Salsali Private Museum (SPM). He studied economics, strategic management and marketing with a focus on industry design in Germany and the UK, graduating in 1993 from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Salsali founded a specialised consulting company for innovative and green technologies for application in the field of the petrochemical industries. Later, he entered into real estate development with particular focus on the preservation of historical buildings. Collecting art since the age of 21, for the last 12 years, his vision to share his passion for art with the public can be seen in the establishment of SPM, the first Private Museum for contemporary art in the region in which Salsali’s collection of over 450 pieces of painting, photography, video art, sculpture and installation is showcased. Salsali has been honored by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who recognised him as Patron of the Arts for two consecutive years, 2010 and 2011.
