Sophie Agnel

Biography

Working with a prepared piano, Sohpie Agnel adds elements like paper cups, balls or strings to the instrument during her performances. She has collaborated with numerous noted musicians,including saxophonists Michel Doneda and Alessandro Bosetti, guitarist Olivier Benoit, vocalists Catherine Jauniaux and Phil Minton and keyboardist Christine Wodraska, as well as with improvisational composers Lionel Marchetti, Jerôme Noetinger and Ikue Mori, among many others. In addition to her collaborative projects, Agnel has recorded several solo albums.
