Biography
Akira Takayama founded the theatre unit Port B in Tokyo in 2002. His work aims to expand the parameters of theatre and audience participation in urban space. In recent years, Takayama has been working across various mediums and disciplines, including visual arts, literature, tourism, urban planning and architecture. He uses the form and discourse of theatre to cultivate new ways of relating to and being in society.
