Biography
Bahar Temiz was born in Istanbul and is currently based in Paris. She studied philosophy at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, dance at ArtEZ Dance Academy, Arnhem, the Netherlands and choreography at ex.e.r.ce, CCN de Montpellier, France. She holds an MA in dance from the University of Paris 8. She has worked as a dancer and performer with Erik Kaiel, Willi Dorner, Dylan Newcomb, Superamas and Ivana Müller. Her work focuses on inviting viewers to investigate their own narrative participation in the image-making process. Her performance work has been part of international exhibitions in Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Turkey. She is currently working on a project produced by Platform 0090 and supported by Pianofabriek, which she performs with Clément Layes and Marc Vanrunxt.
