Biography
Architect Rain Wu works in various fields of art and design with specific interests in material development, speculative narratives and interactive spatial experiences. Her work ranges from drawings, set design and building design to art installations and curation.
Wu’s work has been featured in Sharjah Biennial 13 (in collaboration with Eric Chen) (2017); The Tea Set, Design Museum, London (2016–2017); London Design Biennale 2016 and Taipei Biennial 2016. She has curated exhibitions for the International Fashion Showcase 2017 Taiwan, Somerset House, London (2017) and Eatopia, Taiwan Pavilion, London Design Biennale (2016) and offered workshops and courses at the Tate Modern, London (2017); Design Museum, London (2017); École nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Malaquais, Paris (2017) and Chelsea College of Art, London (2016).
Wu was one of the Designers in Residence 2016 at the Design Museum, London and has worked in a number of architecture practices, including Sou Fujimoto Architects, Tokyo and Carmody Groarke, London. She graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (2009) and received a Master of Arts in Architecture from the Royal College of Art, London (2013).
Wu was born in 1987 in Taiwan and currently lives and works in London.
