Biography

Tintin Wulia highlights the arbitrary nature of geopolitical borders by staging participatory performances including simple games, auctions and collective mural-making. These works, which make use of chance as a prominent feature, allow the audience to experience borders made diffuse or more visible.

Wulia has exhibited widely, including at the Gwangju Biennale, Korea (2012); ZKM | Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, Germany (2011); Moscow Biennale, Russia (2011); Institute of Contemporary Arts, Singapore (2010); Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, the Netherlands (2007); Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2005) and the Istanbul Biennial, Turkey (2005).

This person was part of Sharjah Biennial 11
