Biography
Yazan Khalili (b. 1981, Damascus) is a visual artist, architect and cultural producer. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis as part of the IMAGINART group based at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). His practice frames landscapes, institutions and social and technological phenomena as politicised entities. He co-founded Radio Alhara (2020 ) and The Question of Funding collective (2019). His work has been exhibited widely as part of solo and group exhibitions, including documenta fifteen, Germany (2022); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2020); MOCA Toronto (2020); Kunstforeningen GL STRAND, Copenhagen (2019); Museum of Modern Art, New York (2018); and Sharjah Biennial 11 (2013).
