Installation of Experience

Overview

One person at a time enters a small room containing a chair and a television set. The doors automatically close as the video on the TV starts to play. No instruction is given as to how to exit the room, leaving the visitor to figure it out. The answer is very simple: stay still, and the doors will open.

The work was created during Infusion, a project organised by Laboratoria Art&Science Space, Moscow, Russia, for the 2011 Moscow Biennale, in collaboration with neurophysiologist Olga Svarnik.
