Overview
Naqshbandi is an order of Sufism that believes that one’s journey in life is the path of return to God. Sufism is concerned with developing one’s abilities and capacity through emotional, intellectual and physical practices.
Its followers greatly respect all genuine traditions of faith that accept people’s responsibility to care for each other and the world.
Naqshbandi Greenacre Engagement provides a view into the communal gatherings of the Greenacre Order in western Sydney, Australia. Members come from a range of cultures, including Bosnians, Lebanese, Indians, Turks and Anglo-Australians. They meet each week in the local Scout Hall in Greenacre to perform the Zikr ceremony of spiritual meditation.
